Tullamore Amateur Dramatic Society proudly presents Bookworms by Bernard Farrell.
'Brilliant fun. Delivers a lot of laughs. Really enjoyable' - Arena, RTÉ
Set in an Irish suburban home in the post–Celtic Tiger years, a seemingly civilised book club unravels when the ladies invite their husbands to attend. What follows is a deliciously sharp Irish comedy of grudges, one-upmanship, shady pasts and simmering resentments. “Punchy and resonant, Bookworms is laugh-out-loud entertainment.” As pretence gives way to chaos, no one escapes unscathed. Witty, recognisable and painfully funny, Bookworms exposes the cracks beneath polished suburban perfection — proving that sometimes the real drama isn’t on the page, but in the room.
